Another couple of new coffees are in:

Originating Countries for current Artistry Coffee Beans

We have 2 new coffees just in, as well as some new roasts of coffees that we have stocked for a while.

The new Blanca Rosa Melgar is another Honduran coffee again contributing 50p from each bag to the Honduran Relief Fund – helping the areas hit by storms Eta and Iota in November 2020. The taste notes of these beans are for cherry liqueur, pomegrante and cacao – so something a little different perhaps! The coffee is sourced from a 6 hectare farm at 1250 meters in the mountainous Celaque area to the west of the country. Named after the farm owner, this coffee is farmed organically as Blanca and her husband Arturo refuse to apply chemicals to the land.

Our other new coffee is La Naranja from Peru. It originates from 3 small farms in the northern Andes region of Cajamarca, Peru – careful farming methods are used to encourage the quality and yield of the crops. This coffee is from c1800 meters and has taste notes of green apple, raisin, and clove.

At Artistry Coffee we offer multi-buy discounts when you purchase more than one bag, and we reduce the prices on older roasts too.

We have coffee beans – or ground coffee – available.

Currently there are single-origin coffees from Peru, Ecuador, Honduras, Colombia, Ethiopia, and Guatemala. As well as our regular Aylesbury Blend.

The story of the Redemption Roasters project underpins all our coffees.

New Roasts are in

New roasts and new coffee bean origins are now in at ArtistryCoffee.co.uk

We have a Brazilian bean Fazenda Rio Brilhante from the Carrado Mineirio region grown at c1050m in a large coffee farm established about 30 years ago in an area brought to life by clear bright waters – Rio Brilhante.

With taste notes of Strawberry Bubblegum, Lime and Cream Soda this one mixes smooth sweetness with a sharper edge!

Also new is Altos De Erapuca from the slopes of the second highest mountain in Honduras situated at 1300 to 1360m, from younger coffee trees and using a well constructed drying process mixing natural drying and controlled temperature mixed drying of the beans to regulate moisture and.

This bean has taste notes of Baked Pear, Vanilla, and Cacao – so a smoother taste overall is to be expected.

An updated roast of Finca La Senda is also now available, alongside the option of some of the older roast still (at a reduced price). These beans are from high up in the volcanic Guatemalan region of Acantenango. From a smaller farm, and mixing the characheristics associated with coffee from this are – sweet flavours, bright acidity and good body.

Our price policy on coffee beans is to reduce the cost of the beans for every month after roasting if we still have stock. We aim to have a mix of new roasts and older roasts in stock, depending whether your priority is your pocket or the recency of roast.

Degradation is kept to a minimum with a one-way valve so as well as being kept away from light, and heat, the beans are also kept away from exposure to air.

Our coffees have a story of origin, and also a story of social responsibility: Being roasted as part of a project which aims to reduce reoffending rates by offering some young people in Aylesbury Young Offenders Institute the opportunity to learn about coffee. This includes training as competition quality baristas, and under the tutorship of a Head Roaster to learn about the art and science of coffee roasting.

Finca La Senda Guatemala :: Ethical Coffee Beans

Finca La Senda beans from Guatemala

From high in the hills of Guatemala, in the volcanic Acatenago region is situated a 27 hectare coffee farm Finca La Senda.

Between 1,550m to 1,970m altitude the caturra and bourbon varieties are grown on a farm established in the 1940s.

The region climate and soils naturally promote sweet flavours, brigh acidity and good body. Experimental processes and prolongued fermentations bring in additional flavours such as the blackcurrant and black grape highlighted in the taste notes.

Redemption Roasters are based in Aylesbury Young Offenders Prison with a mission to help reduce re-offending rates by skilling up the young people to help them find jobs and reintegrate into society.  Small batches of beans are expertly roasted led by a Head Roaster and Assistant Roaster who train the young people in professional roasting skills and competition-level barista skills. So not only is the coffee ethically sourced but the roasting process is socially responsible too.

Order Finca La Senda online at artistrycoffee.co.uk or pop-in to buy a bag of beans at our Duck Farm Court location in Station Way West in Aylesbury (HP20 2SQ – near Morrisons).
