This variety of Artistry Coffee is ethically selected and roasted by Redemption Roasters.
The high mountains of Guatemala near the town of San Pedro Necta is the location of the farm Finca La Providencia - situated between 1550 and 1900 meters.
This elevation is an important advantage in the production of very high quality coffee, but also several springs across the area bringing abundant water resources.
The farm has passed through three generations of the Palacios family, who therefore know the region well and are dedicated coffee producers.
Therefore they keep almost one third of the farm under native forest - and this helps preserve the local ecology and helps prevent soil washing down the steep inclines.
Methods include selective hand harvesting and Penagos eco pulping, reducing the impact of wet processing. Post-pulping the coffee is dried on the farms patios, or in wet weather in the farms guardiolas at a slow and even temperature.
MULTI-BUY discounts are available when you buy more than 1 bag of coffee - mix and match across the beans too. Add to your cart and review the discount!
Redemption Roasters are based in Aylesbury Young Offenders Prison with a mission to help reduce re-offending rates by skilling up the young people to help them find jobs and reintegrate into society.
Small batches of beans are expertly roasted led by a Head Roaster and Assistant Roaster who train the young people in professional roasting skills and competition-level barista skills. So not only is the coffee ethically sourced but the roasting process is socially responsible too.
